I purchased this disc sander to strip an older home of about 50 years of paint. It performed flawlessly. The light weight and trigger lock made it very comfortable to use overhead on the tongue & groove soffit. The unit was operated for many hours in 100+ degree weather, subjected to copious amounts of dust and debris, and shows no signs of slowing down. The rubber inserts also make for comfortable use.

I did want to point out another option to the sanding discs. What I learned from a contractor many years ago was to just purchase a roll of sandpaper used for floor sanding machines. I bought a roll of 8" X 50yds sandpaper and used a lid to mark and cut out the discs myself. Not only was this enough to do the entire house, but it also took care of the sanding blocks. I've still got some left. Just spray the discs with a pressure sensitive adhesive, wait a minute and pop them onto the sander.

The 316 stainless steel grade provides better corrosion resistance than general-purpose 304 stainless steel, especially in marine environments, due to higher nickel content and the addition of molybdenum. An austenitic stainless steel, 316 is typically nonmagnetic and can be cold worked to increase its hardness and strength while maintaining most of its formability. The material has been annealed, a method of heating and cooling metal to modify its properties, such as increasing its formability and toughness or decreasing its strength, after it has been shaped.

Stainless steel is an iron alloy with resistance to staining and rusting in many environments where steel would typically degrade. The chemical composition of each grade creates a grain structure that falls into one of five classes: austenitic, duplex, ferritic, martensitic, and precipitation hardening. The austenitic class contains the most formable, weldable, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel grades, but they cannot be heat treated. The duplex class offers high resistance to pitting and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Duplex grades are heat treatable and roughly twice as strong as austenitic grades. The ferritic class contains moderately formable and corrosion-resistant grades compared to other stainless steel classes, but they cannot be heat treated. The martensitic class includes some of the hardest and strongest stainless steel grades that also offer mild corrosion resistance, high hardness, and good formability. I looked all over, did lots of research before purchasing these dryers. Good dryers and a great value. They dry pretty well (I think it's more our water that's the problem, not the dryers). They probably could have been installed a little higher since the vent doesn't tilt, but I think b/c of the ADA requirements, it had to be put where it was. Ridge Tool 31105 24-Inch Aluminum Pipe Wrench - Quantity 6 Pipe Wrenches Review

I've used one of these for 15 years and never worn it out. I used mine to assemble and disassemble (much harder) 1-1/2" and 2" pipe on chemical loading systems. I've used a "cheater" on this wrench (not recommended, use a longer wrench) and did not bend it. I have seen one that was bent and the only way that could have happened was if a 3-4' cheater was used on it.The difference in weight from the cast iron model is significant. The difference in price amounts to about one visit to the chiropractor - buying the aluminum one is a no brainer if you look at it that way! This gets more apparent as the size of the wrench increases. Rigid is the industry standard for pipe wrenches. Hundreds of thousands of users can't be wrong!
