JET Pallet Truck - 6,000-Lb. Capacity Review

The unit is a pain to assemble and the instructions are confusing and poorly written. The unit should be shipped assembled.

The anchor pin/chain is very difficult to insert into the main pin and right after I assembled my unit it would not raise or lower. Tried all the troubleshooting, but nothing worked.

The technician people were helpful (via phone) and were able to locate a technican near my residence.

I am on the fence if I would recommend this product as maybe my unit was a LEMON. At the end of the Manual there is a stamp that all units are personally inspected and passed. Don't know if that is true....maybe the inspector of my unit was having a bad day!!

When the unit was looked at by the service techinican, he found that one of the CRITICAL ADJUSTMENT SCREWS was incorrectly milled and the unit CANNOT work without the correctly milled screw. Another example of poor quality control or the inspector of the unit failing at their responsibility. THe unit works now but what a real hassle to make it right.

The service tech was great and totally understood my frustration with the POOR attention to detail. AGAIN, no matter who attempted to assemble this unit, it would have never worked unless a technician (familiar with these types of units), looked at it and was able to correctly identify the problem. THESE UNITS NEED TO BE SHIPPED FULLY ASSEMBLED!!! Finally, why can't these units be made in AMERICA???? I found that my unit was made/assembled in China and Taiwan.
