This is a reliable and hard-working machine that allows you to change the temp. across the PCR block. This is a great way to functionally optimize reactions for assays an for limiting by products of reactions and a real time saver in research. We have had one now for more than 6 years and it still works flawlessly. It can run the temp grandient as you define, or run workhorse assays in multiple formats (we have 96 well and in situ adapter). Best PCR machine I have had. Only downside is that programming is a bit clumsy, but set the programs up and you are ready to amplify!
