Hougen Portable Magnetic Drill 2-1/16" HMD914 Review

Been using one of these for about a year, for work. I've probably done in the neighborhood of 400 holes in steel plate and tubing. I have the one with the swivel base (HMD914S), and the drill chuck adapter too, which I use most of the time. I rented and used the milwaukee one first, and then chose this one after just seeing but not using it. It was a good choice. It's loud, powerful, heavy, solid, tight, well built, but at the same time, compact. This is the way tools should be made. A lot of thought went into this tool, and you can tell. If you need a mag drill, this is a very good option. The only thing I wish was there were some longer slugger bits in the sizes I need, but that's why I got the chuck adapter, to use standard jobber drills. Even though that is the case, I still think this is the best one on the market, at least for me.
