The heat-resistant inflation guides hold the balloon open and in place for inflation ease and help protect hands from hot air. The Inflation Station inflates and launches 2- to 9-foot diameter balloons for use in a variety of classroom experiments, and it measures 43 inches tall upon assembly. The Inflation Station includes a handbook, Adventures in Lighter-Than-Air Flight, by Kristine Gilbertson, for information about the history and science of hot-air balloon flight, and it includes classroom activities and discussion questions. This product works just fine IF your balloons are large enough at the base. The balloons my classes make are about 5.5' tall and the openings are too small to fit over the launcher. I tried to find something to modify the top to and direct the hot air into the smaller openings but can't find anything that will withstand the heat. If you do get this, I recommend you make a balloon yourself first and modify the design to get a larger opening. If you're a teacher, take into account student error.
