I bought this welder a couple of weeks ago. This is one VERY well made and constructed welder.
It is NOT one of the new electronic square wave type of things that weigh nothing, and are subject to failure so easily. This a transformer based unit and it weighs accordingly. (You can also save a couple hundred bucks on the unit by purchacing it from [...] which also gives you fast immediate drop ship (for free) direct from Lincoln's own warehouse. I got mine in 2 days by truck from Seattle on the West Coast. There is also their main factory from the East of the Mississippi.) Lincoln has long been known for good, solid, serious quality, long lasting welders for over 50 years! This is no exception.

It does NOT have all the electronic controls of the Dynasty 200 from Miller, but it does not have the huge liability of the myriad of electronics to fail either! Read that as long term reliability! To me, that is much more of an important feature than smaller diddly things that can be tweeked by extra non-critical function electronics. It is a LOT less money without all the extra junk. It has an excellent easy to use pulse weld, and the solidly built-in, 3 way, polarity selector makes things a bit faster and easier to use! If you have used one without that feature, always having to switch your leads around, then you WILL very much appreciate having this Lincoln, Made in the USA, machine that offers so much!

It has all the elctronics needed to do a great job, it gives you a LOT of variability,..... adding versatility for welding all types of materials from Aluminum to Stainless Steel. It comes with an excellent quality torch, regulator, foot control unit, and other listed accessories. There was not one thing that smacked of chincy, junky, or corner cutting on anything! I could not have been happier. They even included a surface mount 50 amp receptacle box for the correct matching plug on the machine: requires that you use a good single phase 230 VAC power source(It uses a very commonly used plug style that you may already have.). Lincoln offers good support as does TigDepot..... which has a LOT of free training videos posted on uTube for ease of use. I chose to make my own base and did not buy the K2535-2 kit with it. I am pleased with the outcome and the use is a lot of fun. Now that I have it, knowing what I do first hand, if I had the choice I would certainly buy it again. Do Enjoy!
