I have had this unit a couple of days. I accidentally ordered the last model instead of the 2013 model, but they sent the 2013 anyway. It has been about 8 years since I have used TIG on any kind of regular basis. The machines I used to use had nowhere near the adjustability that this unit does.
I had heard negative reviews about the foot pedal that Everlast provides, but the foot pedal seems fine, other than no adjustability. The torch on the other hand seems like the weak link on my unit. I received a black torch with a trigger zip-tied to the handle. The cups don't seat evenly and make the tungsten exit crookedly. The torch cable is stiff and covered with thick vinyl and a little difficult to position (stiff and slippery). The one in the picture looks a little better. Also, my consumable kit only came with 3/32 collets and 2 #4 cups, not a combination I would have chosen... but you will have to make a trip to the supply shop anyway for some tungsten. I will definitely be buying a different torch setup.
The stinger that came with mine was a red handled twist lock device that looks similar to the one shown.

So far, I have only been welding aluminum on the 2T setting. Once I figured out the controls and got it set up, this machine made very controllable puddles with the foot pedal. I tried the 4T setting with the torch trigger and kept loosing my arc for some reason..The 4T control is going take some getting used to. Also, the regulator that came with my unit is in LPM not scfh.....That took me a while to figure out. so set to 7LPM for a roughly equivalent 15scfh.

Man the fan is loud, I really had to turn up the tunes in the shop.

It actually seems pretty decent and puddles aluminum just as well as the old Miller synchros. The square wave does seem a little harsher/snappier than the old synchros. more of a harsh zzzzzzzzzzzzzz than the smooth vvvvvvvvvvvvv sound that the synchros made.
