Just received my new Rooster airflow alarm module for our Biosafety cabinets. Will outfit my lab with these to generate low flow alarms for NSF compliance.

Setup: Easy, the start-card that comes in the box made it fast/simple. Just needed a drill bit and a screwdriver. Nice to have a simple install of electronic devices for a change. I plugged it into a wall outlet, but the next ones I will wire right into my 24V building supply. Glad it has both options.

Calibration: I chose the probe air flow sensor option. I have a bit of experience here, and my first duct location I chose worked perfectly. Glad this has a turbulence alarm built-in, so I can guarantee I have chosen a good flow area. There are two ways to calibrate, using the dipswitch on the back. One is for more advanced users, offering a setback approach.

Alarms: really love the fact I can mute the alarm, and also select whether it will latch or not-latch. Chose non-latch during my install so I didnt have any alarms to listen to.

This is the best airflow alarm I have seen to date, and the price is right. Fully recommend this well-engineered product.
