I was looking for smallish 4 ounce jars for baby food made of glass and had a heck of a time finding anything decently priced (anything that has the word BABY in it gets a 2x markup), so when I found Wheaton W216920 I was very happy that they seemed like they would fit the job perfectly. I even contacted manufacturer (Wheaton) for more information on those jars, and they responded that the jars are made to US pharmacopoeia specs and even recommended a lid (Wheaton 239290) to use for this purpose- these lids have a poly insert instead of the usual cardboard so they seal liquids well (and are washable). The lids are made of virgin plastic, have no plasticizers (BPA or any other) and stand up to freezing (dont overfill ANY glass container).
