Product Description

The Niagara Cutter CNC430 TiAlN-coated carbide NC-style square nose end mill has four flutes and a plus-tolerance cutting diameter to match those of high-speed steel end mills, allowing an upgrade from high-speed steel to carbide and making the tool useful for milling keyways. Four flutes produce a better finish than fewer flutes. The 30-degree helix angle supports general-purpose applications. It balances lower angles’ strong cutting edge for difficult-to-machine materials with higher angles’ increased cutting action.

The TiAlN coating resists heat better than TiN and TiCN coatings, increasing tool life and performance. It also offers increased hardness compared to TiN and may reduce the need for lubricants based on the application. (TiAlN is suitable for a range of materials, but TiCN or uncoated end mills are recommended for machining aluminum.) The carbide substrate is harder than high-speed or cobalt steel, making it more wear resistant at high speeds and providing longer tool life. The tool’s square end creates sharp, unrounded cuts. The center-cutting design has cutting teeth at the end of the tool, so it can be fed into the workpiece like a drill bit. NC-style tools can be used on both the older Numerical Control (NC) machines, which are programmed using physical media such as magnetic tape, and the newer CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, which are programmed using computers. Cutting diameter tolerance is +0.001" to -0.000". The tool has a Weldon shank on shank diameters larger than 3/8”.

End mills are designed to remove material and create multi-dimensional shapes and profiles. They have cutting edges along the outside diameter and flutes that remove chips from the cutting area and allow cooling fluids to enter. If heat is not reduced effectively, the tool’s cutting edges will dull and additional material buildup can occur. The number of flutes can range from two to eight. Two-flute designs offer the most efficient chip removal, but more flutes provide a smoother finish. The shank is the end of the tool held in place by a tool holder or machine. Center-cutting end mills can create three-dimensional shapes and profiles, and make plunge cuts similar to a drill bit. Non-center-cutting end mills are for applications such as peripheral milling and finishing, but cannot make plunge cuts.

Kubota GL 11000 Lowboy II Diesel Generator Review

Bought this unit elsewhere vs. an 1800 rpm unit because the price couldn't be beat due to cosmetic only shipping damage, and I got free liftgate delivery. I chose diesel because my vehicle and snowblower are also diesel, and natural gas will leave you twiddling your thumbs if a storm uproots a tree and breaks the main. That said, this thing is like a timex-takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. My small older-than-me home has 60A main grid service, and this unit powers my well pump and central air conditioning (3 ton I think?) with ease as if I was on grid power. I run 5w40 cj4 in case of cold weather starts though the recommended oil is 10w30. With a 50a 240v cord and matching inlet box/transfer panel I have whole house backup power, sensitive electronics included. Mind your heavy loads to avoid frying anything. Engine parts are easy to come by, but you will need a Kubota gen dealer to get other parts-a tractor or other kubbie dealer won't be able to find them, something to keep in mind. Fuel consumption at 30% load is so low it's ridiculous, I won't ever go back to gasoline. This genny is surprisingly quiet compared to all the single cylinder gas units all the neighbors break out when a storm hits, and they can only run a few appliances in trade for all the noise.

My roommate's hair always clogs our shower. I bought one of those hair trap things, but she would always take it out. By the time the water was up to my knees I had had enough, but nothing would work to unclog that drain. I got really frustrated and decided that if 2000 lb of naoh couldn't do the trick, I would just have to replace the house. Well, after I dumped the first 50lb bag into the half full tub, it got so hot that the porcelain melted and the floor caught fire, sending the tub crashing through into the apartment below us. This was just awful, and to top it off my renter's insurance wouldn't cover this. So now I am stuck with 1950 pounds of sodium hydroxide and a giant whole in my floor. So, it definitely unclogged the drain but I'm going to have to give it only 4 stars because of the collateral damage.
