The 3M Particulate Respirator Model 8247, R95 is designed to help provide reliable worker protection against certain oil and non-oil based particles including those present with nuisance levels of organic vapors such as solvents, degreasers, and resins. Advanced electrostatically charged microfibers make breathing easier and cooler. Odor-removing filter material with carbon layers remove many nuisance level odors for greater comfort and productivity. NIOSH approved R95 with at least 95% filtration efficiency against solid and liquid aerosols including oils. Lightweight construction. If respirator becomes damaged, soiled, or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and dispose of the respirator. Connecticut Elec/View-Pak Ubiz1515-B 15A 2 Single Pole Zinsco Replacement Circuit Breaker - Quantity 6 Zinsco, Replacement Circuit Breakers Review

I purchased 6 copies of the UPIZ1515 or a total of 12 circuits. Of these, two circuits were defective -- the handle was stuck in the middle "tripped" position and so could not be moved to "off" or "on". Amazon replaced one conveniently on request, but that is not the point. At least it didn't fail dangerously.

This breaker is a Chinese replacement for discontinued Zinsco circuit breakers. I purchased them t the urging of a couple of fearmongering websites after a home inspector alerted me to Zinsco breaker's reputation for failing dangerously.

Being an engineer, I decided to test if the Connecticut Electric breakers actually work and if the 1965 era Zinsco breakers actually don't. I constructed a step-down transformer that could provide about 32 Amps continuously for the test.

I found that when exposed to about twice the rated current, CE breakers have a trip time of 11 to 528 seconds. The 528 was somewhat of an outlier, only two of 12 circuits had trip time of over 104 seconds. Except for the two outliers, this is largely in line with specifications published by Square D.

In contrast, the 48 year old Zinsco breakers all tripped between 12 and 23 seconds during the same test. The bus bars in my panel showed no signs of overheating as described by the fearmongerers.

Additionally, these breakers have an issue that ganging the handles together to make a 240 volt breaker does not work. When one handle moves to "tripped", it does not have sufficient force to move the adjacent handle to "off". So if you want to power a 240 volt load like an airconditioner, the UBIZ02 family of breakers which Connecticut Electric offers are better. My testing confirmed that one overloaded circuit shut off both channels.

I divide my recommendations between three types of Amazon customers.

>If your house has conduit (metallic sheathing) any you are merely expanding an existing panel with one or two breakers, in my opinion the risk of installing these breakers doesn't seem too bad.

>If your house has romex-like non-metallic sheathed cable, in my opinion the risk is worse.

>If you are like me and are contemplating replacing a whole panel full of Zinco breakers, this is probably a poor value. Currently manufactured equipment is much less expensive than this and in my opinion safer. Replacing the panel may be a better value.

I bought this thing while I was camping. Our firewood was a bit damp and I was having trouble getting the campfire started. With this handy-dandy roaster, I had a bonfire within a minute or so. Then, I decided to use it on the weeds at home. The instructions warn against using the torch near conifers (like Evergreen-type shrubs, bushes, topiaries), so I stayed about 5 feet away from those. Well, this thing is hotter than the blazes of Hell and Damnation itself! I roasted a few of my bushes, but thankfully, they've started to come back. We just had a few inches of snow here in Chicago and I drove over it in the driveway. I ended up with icy patches of packed snow and figured I'd pull out Satan's air conditioner. Not only did it melt those ice patches faster than a hooker drops her panties, it melted a five foot section of snow (about 3 inches deep) in front of the nozzle. Well, after that, I just had to screw around with it. I cooked a frozen hot-dog in less than 30 seconds. OK, "cooked" is the wrong word. I turned a frozen hot dog into a pile of ash. Since that was fun, I tried it with an old cell-phone I had laying around. It stunk, but man it was cool to watch it turn into a gelatinous pile of stink. Someone else mentioned having to roast your weeds and then come back to weed by hand a week later. That's totally unnecessary. Just hold the flame on the weed for about 10 seconds and it'll kill it, burn it, turn it to ash, and then burn the ash into smaller ash. The roots will be dead and the weed will never return. OK, maybe it will, but I roasted a section of stone in my backyard that had weeds growing up. It's been nearly 2 years and nothing has grown there. Yeah, it sounds like a jet engine when you fire it up, but it's awesome! I highly recommend this for weed burning, camp fire starting, party tricks, and hot dog cremation. And next week, I'm going to head over to my mean, old, crotchety neighbor's house in the middle of the night and burn "A-Hole" into his lawn. Man, I can't wait till my kid's hamster bites the dust!
