Product Description

The Parker C series check valve provides unidirectional control of liquids and gases. The valve body is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304. Stainless steel 316 is sometimes called "marine-grade stainless steel" due to its resistance to chloride corrosion. This valve has A-Lok compression connections on both ends. With the Parker A-Lok design, the front and back ferrules secure the tubes within the fitting, creating a leak-proof connection without the need for additional joining preparations and methods such as flaring, soldering or welding. The cracking pressure is 0.33 pounds per square inch (psi), and the working temperature range is -15 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Check valves have two ports and restrict the flow of fluids and other loose materials through a pipe or passageway to one direction. Flow enters through one port and exits through the other, closing when flow reverses or stops. Two common types of check valves are ball cone valves and swing check valves. A ball cone valve utilizes a spring-loaded ball seated against a cone-shaped interior surface to stop the flow of fluid in a forward direction, and a swing check valve has a movable disc on a hinge to block reverse flow. Check valves are rated by their cracking pressure (the minimum upstream pressure required for the valve to operate), and they are used in various water, gas, air, and steam lines.

Pretty well balanced, and very slim to grip one-handed. Plenty of power for almost everything I can imagine anyone using a 4.5" grinder for. The switch is also very sensitive, if you need to turn it off in a hurry it's not hard, feels safer than some.

Unfortunately, this is made in China, and given the luck I've been having with their products of late, I probably wouldn't have had the GF pick this up for me had I known. C'mon Japan, you can do better.

If one-handed operation isn't a priority, may I recommend the superbly balanced and even more powerful Metabo which I have also had the pleasure to use? It's made in Germany!

The 302 stainless steel sphere has a mirror-like finish, meets American Society for Testing and Materials International ASTM A493 specifications, is Grade 100, and has a precision tolerance. Doooon't look directly into the light! Chances are you will only do this once like me. Sunglasses don't seem to help but welder/plasma glasses work perfect, and I don't even know why I want to look at it, but I do.

Originally I had the light right up on my plants and realized it was a little intense. I found 2 feet above to be pretty prime place to hang. Be prepared for a total vibe change with this light. Very.. crimson I guess. haha.

I also have two Kessil H150 Purple's. Very cool product but can't sustain a plant with just one or two or three or four... This light puts out the power of about 7 Kessil 150's. DON'T ever look at the name but use a kill-o-watt meter to find actual power! This should be a 900 using Kessil's math.

Construction is solid and I changed my power cord out for a longer one which I got at my local computer store.

Use a kill-o-watt meter to see why the eBay lights are toys compared to this one.
