Product Description

The Ample Scientific SM-Plus-13 stereo microscope has binocular viewing heads, 30 LED bulbs for reflected and transmitted illumination, widefield 10XD eyepieces with a field number (FN) of 20 mm, and 1X and 3X objectives for total magnification of 10X and 30X. This microscope, with its stereo optical system, creates a three-dimensional image and enhances object or image resolution. It is commonly used by hobbyists, educators, and research professionals.

This microscope features binocular viewing heads to ease eye strain and provide a more comprehensive view. It has 55-75 mm interpupillary adjustment for individual eye spacing. Upper LED illumination reflects light off of the specimen, and lower LED illumination transmits light up through the specimen for enhanced visibility. Upper and lower illumination are each adjustable. The microscope has a dove-tail stand for durability that allows for one-handed operation. A handle fits easily in hand, and allows for safe and secure movement from one area to another. Stage clips hold the specimen in place.

I've had this binocular microscope almost 2-years and surprised how much I use it. The led lights are more than adequate. I originally purchased (hobby) for surface mount soldering on PCB's. I've also used it a number of times to locate and remove splinters.

Pluses:
- Nice size and I like the handle on top for quickly moving out of the work area.
- top and bottom light led adjustable lighting - more than adequate. Never replace a light bulb.
- Ability to shift (2 screws) the entire binoc/lamp up about 3" on the focus slide to accommodate a higher work surface.

Minus:
- The double adjustment knobs at first had some play between left and right but this can be fixed by tightening up.

This is my first binocular stereo microscope and I am not an expert. It seems to have good clarity and flatness. I mostly use the 10X. The 30X is slightly darker but I don't think this is unusual.

3" Buffer -2400RPM Review

I paint motorcycles and motorcyle parts and cannot say enough good things about this little palm sander. It is the perfect size for polishing paint on tanks and fenders and the variable speed makes it even more user friendly. This little buffer is quite air-efficient and doesn't pound your compressor to death. One thing to remember though is that 1 HP= approx 4.5 CFM so make sure your compressor can keep up with the tool you are trying to power up. I am a female and this buffer is fairly light weight and fits nicely in my hand allowing me a free hand to secure the part I'm working on. The tool itself seems to be of good quality and with diligent oiling I expect it should last a long while. Highly recommend this tool.

I ordered this twice. The first order only one piece came, as they ship it out in two boxes(toilet bowl and separate box for the tank). The second order the toilet bowl was smashed in many pieces. Amazon did a good job with the first order by sending a replacement toilet. They did another good job by issuing a refund on the second order, as I wasn't going to go through the process again and the expected delivery for the third toilet was June 19th!! Overall still happy with Amazon, this just was a horrible order experience.
