Sandblaster is well built and works great, but the filler gasket is very expensive. Mine blew out after 3 years, maybe 5 uses.

At elevated temperatures (~185F) the rubber flaps get tacky--especially an issue when you are trying to insert small instruments through the port. Combine the extra force required to insert your hands with the VERY weak shoulder of the frame and you get breakage. Mine split all the way around. For this price, that simply should not happen.

These connectors are for those uncomfortable with getting the right color correct before slipping them into the connectors. The trick is that there are holes for wires to slip through at the end of the connector, so you don't have to cut the wire to just the right length. You just jam the connector on until the cable jacket is all the the way in, double check the colors of the wires sticking out the connector, then crimp.

The problem is: you have to use their crimper. It has a special cutter that shears off the wires sticking out of the connector. If you you use a standard crimper, you have to try cutting them off and you'll never get them close enough where the wires won't hit the inside of the jack and the connector won't latch

MicronBlaster MB10 Micro Sandblasting Unit Review

I borrowed this unit from a friend to etch some glass for an architectural project at home. I'd never done anything like that before but was pleased that it did an excellent (and fast) job. I used clear contact paper that I got at Ace hardware for the mask template. You can remove the cut-outs either before or after you adhere the contact paper to the glass, but for more complex designs like ours you really have to apply the contact paper first and then cut the "to be etched" parts out with an Exacto knife. It does generate a fine dust during use so you need to use it in a garage or outdoors with a simple doctors type face mask. The project turned out quite professional looking and our friends are amazed. A great little unit!
