The Tigweld 160sx is a 160 amp AC DC tig stick welder capable of welding on both 110v and 220v power. This unit's portability allows for easy unit relocation and welding on the go. Also, you are able to plug this unit into a generator of 5000 watts for welding in rural areas. Comes with everything including tig torch, stick handle, ground clamp, regulator, and plugs. All you need is Argon gas and filler rods.

Pro's: 1. Comes with accessories for which most suppliers charge extra. 2. Many functions. 3. Controls have good feel and are easy to read 4. High frequency works well with smooth stable arc. 5. The machine is nicely designed and turned-out. 6. Priced right. 7. Dual voltage.

Con's: 1. Zero instructions on use and set-up. 2. Longevity customer support is non-responsive. 3. Unable to register the machine with Longevity (apparently if you do not buy directly from them you can not register the machine). 4. Lift-start function is very difficult to use.

Comments: Not really suitable for the hobbiest with no tig welding experience, but this is a nice light duty machine for an experience tig welder. I have been mig welding & stick welding for many years, but this is my first attempt at tig welding. The lack of instructions make the set-up and use basically trial and error. When I purchased my Lincolns many years ago, the both came with detailed printed instructions and instructional DVD.

Conclusion: I would purchase the machine again, but I am not sure that I would recommend it to a friend.
