After seeing the other 1 star review, I ran downstairs and put a micrometer on my sheet. It's definitely 16 gauge, and it's 304 for certain. I've used it in several hi temp/lousy environment applications, without any rust. One application is a custom cooking grate for doing fish, etc. on a charcoal grill. In retrospect the gauge is a little thin for that. Another application is part of an outdoor roaster with temps reaching 400F +. Both get left out in the weather, but remain passivated and rust free.
If I drove 100 miles, I could never find a shop near me that would have this in stock. So it is just amazing that I can even get it, let alone at this price. Which is actually almost 40% lower than when I bought it a year ago. And I thought the Chinese were hogging all the Stainless.
