The 3M Particulate Respirator 8211 N95 is uniquely designed to help provide comfortable, reliable worker protection. Ideally suited for work settings that involve heat, humidity, or long periods of wear. Patented one-way valve offers easy exhalation and cool, dry comfort. Faceseal conforms easily to help provide a good seal across a wide range of faces and is comfortable to wear. M-noseclip adjusts easily for fewer pressure points and greater comfort; reduces the potential for eyewear fogging, and helps provide a custom fit. Durable braided headband. Lightweight construction contributes to greater worker comfort. Suggested applications include grinding, sanding, sweeping, bagging, cement, poultry, textile, lime, buffing, and other dusty or hot operations Use For: solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, and certain other substances and for liquid or non-oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors. Do Not Use For: gases, vapors, including those present in paint spraying operations, oil aerosols, asbestos or sandblasting; or aerosol concentrations that exceed 10 times the OSHA PEL or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower. This respirator does not supply oxygen. Before use of this respirator, a written respirator protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 20 CFR 1910.134 such as training and fit testing. If respirator becomes damaged, soiled, or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and dispose of the respirator. These are quality medical grade masks that I use for spraying insectisides in the garden. The little cheap ones from the hardware store are not safe for this application. Also, the same masks I use on the job as a nurse. If youv'e seen the movie Contagin, these are what they use. Might want to get some and put them in your survival box.
