There are a lot of light duty brakes out there. But this is the first one I found that seemed heavy duty enough for me, without going to that next level in the thousands of dollars. It's made with pretty thick steel - 10 MM in most places where it counts. I only work with SS - I've bent some 16 and 18 gauge without trouble. Twelve gauge I scored first. The adjustments for the Press Plate are easy and seem to have enough precision. I give it 4 stars for it's overall design and strength. The precision of the build is about what you expect from some unknown Chinese factory, maybe even a little better.
But:
I bought mine as an assembled floor display - I could mostly see what I was getting but for the thick red paint. If you've ever bought HF tools, etc., you know that it can be a bit of a gamble.
The one problem I had with mine is after a few uses, a weld on the Press Plate Stabilizer broke. I could have chalked it up to abuse, except when I cleaned the paint off the weld area I discovered deep rust. The kind you get from leaving a piece of steel outside for the winter.
Despite that, I still think it deserves 4 stars. For the money, it's a solid tool. The quality control of any particular bender is something you can only judge when it's in your hands.
For adjustments, you'll need a 13, 17, 18, and 24MM wrench. The 24 you might as well buy hereTEKTON 21411 24mm Combination Wrench. It's not a common size to find in your local tool store, and a standard set only goes up to 19.
