I purchased this machine and was pleased with it for 6 months. As I was mid cut one morning it lost arc and would not re-start. I sent the machine back for warranty repair and this is when my problems really started. The company was short and very unpleasant to work with. They stated 2 weeks at the most, well after a number of calls and over 6 weeks later they finally said my machine was repaired. They implied that there was nothing wrong with the machine and accused me of not replacing the fuse for the pilot arc. NOT TRUE! I was extremely careful at keeping the machine in working and clean order. I was happy to get it back and get it producing in the shop but it was damaged beyond repair by UPS. Learning how UPS insurance works was a mess and they coordinate with the shipper to have it replaced. Everlast was rediculous and acused me of damaging the machine and said I didnt pack it correct. REALLY???? YOU SHIPPED IT TO ME! IT WAS YOUR PACKING JOB!! They refused to replace the machine with a new or even refurb model of the same year. They sent me an older machine that didnt use the same consumables and said I would have to buy the correct consumables from them at $128 for tips and electrodes. They wanted the damaged machine back so they could refurb it and sell it again. Are you kidding?? Is this the way you run a business and treat your customers??? I am furious! NEVER NEVER NEVER will I recommend any person buy from Everlast! The machine is decent but the company is unethical and extremely difficult to work with.
