Has almost anything you need. Armstrong tools are very high quality. Box is heavy so might take 2 people to lift it on a table or into a vehicle. But this is the best mobile tool kit money can buy. I myself am an Aircraft Mechanic and just having the tool foam inserts is a huge help for fast clean up. You can face a lot of projects with the kit! Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the tools could of been arranged better, some tools are randomly placed in some of the drawers, might be because they ran out of space, And i do not understand why this box is 85% SAE and 15% Metric, It would really be better if it was just 100% SAE tools in my opinion. But none the less, this tool kit is my Pride and Joy, and it will make others jealous. A+ Product!

this winch has an integrated frame that holds the entire unit together AND it comes with a 1/4in thick mounting plate, d-shackle, snatch block and a steel roller fair lead. its perfect for its price.

i bought this unit from the local tractor supply co (formerly central tractor) after returning a similar unit (Superwinch 1585200D) from the local northern tool and equip. the superwinch was a POS and came with no accessories. its main problem was that it would bind on itself because it lacked an integrated frame. it had 2 threaded rods connecting the two halves of the unit, and simply picking up the device it would twist its self such that the mounting points for each side were off by 5-10 degrees and no longer on the same flat plane. i returned it after several hours trying to get it to mount flat and true with no luck.

the champion 8k winch is exactly what i needed. installation was simple, took about 20 minutes to unpack it and fire it up. the instruction manual is written in English, not a half-assed translation from Chinese.

it has no trouble pulling my f250 out of the mud & it'll pull scrap cars onto my trailer with incredible ease.

if it came with 100ft of cable (instead of 95) and wireless controls I'd rate it 5/5.

I picked up a 205i last spring to do some work on an old full size Cherokee trail rig I ma building. Mainly because it will run on 110volts or 220 with a change of plugs, or home made adapter like I did.

I was mainly after a plasma, but for the price why not have all three (tig, stick,and plasma)?

On 110 volts mine gets...........
27 amps on the plasma cutter. Good for 3/8" steel, maybe 1/2" if you have it set up just right. I have cut 1/2" with it but it is slow and crap cut on 110.
86 amps on stick, burns a 3/32 6011 rod real good. Good penetration, nice even burn for 6011 rod.

On 220 volts.......
51 amp plasma. I have cut 7/8" plate with it. Slow but hey.......... thats some heavy stuff.

200 amps for the stick. Heaviest rod I have used with it is 5/32 @ ~140 amps. Wide open it blows about 3/4 of the way through that piece of 7/8 plate.

Can't say on the tig yet, I havent got around to picking up some argon. It did come with a foot pedal for tig though. Most these machines dont.

So far I am pretty impressed with it for a hobby/odd job machine. As long as it holds up I will have no problem recommending them. May even upgrade to their "WeldAll" line that has AC so I can weld aluminum in a couple years.

Another year down, still going strong. Only thing I have noticed is it will get "hot" when cutting on 110V for long periods. I believe its a duty cycle issue on 110V, even though there are no duty cycles listed for 110V
It starts cutting like poo, and acting like its not getting enough power. After it cools for a while it will be fine again.
Leaving the post flow wide open helps very little.

It does not do this on 220V, and cuts a lot faster/heavier as well.
Going from 110 to 220V does not double the performance, it does a lot more than that.
On 110V I have cut 1/4" steel, its slow but can do it.
On 220V, 3/4" steel cuts about the same as 1/4 did on 110.

Very happy with this unit, for the price.

Makita AN451 7/8-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer Review

I have been roofing now for 3 years at several different locations for several different companies. In the last three years I have shot shingles with several different coil nailers, but the one that stands out the most is the Makita AN451. The Makita by far outdoes the competition in several different feilds it's light weight (and recoil) is respobsible for less fatige and also a faster shot pattern I beleive that the Makita competes with the staple guns in speed. The depth gauge comes in very handy when shooting down pipe flashing and step flashing, it's easy to clean and easily adjusts for different size shingles. I rate the makita at a 4 (out of 5) because I think it's the best gun i've ever shot but some things could be improved on it besides the depth gauge sometimes moving and the gauge adjustment coming loose once in awhile (all of which come from extended use) it's the perfect gun in all conditions and keeps up quite well with the supposedly faster staple guns.

I have 2 Miniature Schnauzers - both have bladder and kidney stones. One of the ways they're medically managed is to check their urinary pH and Specific Gravity at least once a week; it was easy to find the correct strips for the pH testing, but I originally didn't purchase a refractometer 1.) because there are MANY of them available for a variety of uses and I found it very confusing to try to decide which one was best for my needs, and 2.) there are WIDE price variations. But I needed to decide on one because I had to pay their vet $22 for each Specific Gravity check.

After hours of research I finally decided on this PEN Atago 3749 PEN-Wrestling Digital Hand-Held Urine Specific Gravity PEN Refractometer. I hoped it would be the right choice because it cost almost $400; it was the right decision. The cheaper ones needed solutions to calibrate them, and some warned about getting certain areas wet - when this is an instrument that is used in fluids! This one is very easy to use; has easy-to-read instructions; is comfortable to hold; uses only distilled water or even tap water to calibrate; (the only precaution was to make sure the water is at approximately the same temperature as the urine sample); the digital display is large and easy to read, and it came in a safe, secure snap-lock container with the PEN cradled in a foam box insert.
