The Thermo Scientific Orion Star A329 portable meter with kit displays pH, ISE (ion selective electrode), conductivity, and RDO/DO measurements plus temperature on the large, backlit LCD screen for advanced water testing on location. The display can show each parameter with temperature individually or all three measurements with temperature at once. Electrode status, time, date, sample ID, user ID, and calibration points are also displayed with the measurements. The meter is designed for ease of use and reduced training requirements, with clear screen prompts, updateable soft keys, and an interface that supports English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese. A pre-programmed auto-read function is available to lock stable readings on the screen, with an indicator alert that signals when the reading is stable. The meter can also be set for timed readings that gather data at specific time intervals. Non-volatile memory holds up to 5,000 data points with time and date stamp. Updates for meter software and complimentary data analysis software are available for download.

The selectable cell constant allows use with two- or four-cell conductivity cells. Practical salinity or natural sea water curves can be selected for salinity readings. Linear or ISO/EN 27888 curves can be selected for total dissolved solids (TDS) readings. pH calibration is available up to five points, with automatic recognition for USA/NIST and DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) buffers. Conductivity calibration has selectable reading reference temperatures of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 degrees C with linear, non-linear, nLFu, or EP curve options. Errors can be fixed without a complete recalibration by using the calibration editing function.

DO results are enhanced with automatic temperature, manual salinity, and automatic or manual barometric pressure compensation. DO calibration can be performed with water-saturated air, air-saturated water, zero point, or a custom point with Winkler titration. The RDO luminescent dissolved oxygen probe eliminates changing the membrane with a simple once-a-year cap change. The probe is not affected by color or turbidity, and is suitable for measurements from effluent, aeration basins, and influent.

The meter has an IP 67 rating for protection against dust and short periods of immersion in water. Meter input ports include Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC), reference pin, 8-pin Mini-DIN, and 9-Pin Mini-DIN. Output ports include RS-232 and USB. Certifications for this meter include CE, TÜV, and FCC Class A limits.

I've purchased a number of these meters b/c the combination of high quality pH measurements with luminescent DO technology in one meter is very attractive. Unfortunately the meter still needs some design work to be a worthy competitor as a field meter. The connections for the conductivity and RDO have proven very problematic and I doubt they will last as long as I'd like. Their claim of waterproofing is misleading since the claim requires connections be covered but they provide grossly underdesigned connections and connection covers. The data interface is Hyperterminal text that is ancient and not user friendly--really not appropriate for handling larger data and calibration set logs. If you can keep this meter protected, manage the weak connections, and be patient with the data interface, the technology works well enough to be a valuable meter.

This Link-Belt FC-B22400H series spherical roller bearing flange cartridge unit has a cast iron housing with four bolt holes, floating labyrinth seal, and spring-locking collar. This non-expansion type bearing unit is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces perpendicular to the shaft axis. This ready-to-mount flange cartridge unit has a one-piece housing made of cast iron for rigidity and vibration damping. The housing has a powder coating for corrosion resistance, a grease fitting on the outer surface for reapplying lubricant, and a machined mounting surface for increased stability. A cylindrical pilot extension on the back face provides accurate placement in the mounting surface bore during installation, and increases stability during operation. The double-row spherical roller bearing in the housing has a large roller complement to support heavy radial, shock, and combination loads. It has a separable outer ring, an extended inner ring for increased shaft support, and a convex sphered outer surface that compensates for misalignments. Floating labyrinth-design gap seals on both sides of the bearing retain lubricant applied at manufacture and help protect against contaminants. I have this beautiful looking faucet in my downstairs powder room. The only criticism I have is that my guests have a tough time figuring out how to operate it (as I did, after it was first installed). Guests tend to push lever from front to back, which doesn't produce any water, so they think it's broken. I had to post a sign with an arrow that says, "Pull lever to the right." The faucet is beautiful, but lever mechanics are poorly designed. Grizzly G1066R Drum Sander, 24-Inch Review

A little trouble with the first shipment but could have been a ups issue. as far as the sander it works great. But expect a lot of set-up time. I probably spent a day on set-up but I'm very precise about my tools. Put casters on this bad boy, it weighs a lot. As far as sanding, it does an excellent job, super smooth after a couple of passes. Mine came with 60 and 100 grit paper on first and second drum, I changed it to 80/120 to get it ready for the random orbit sander for the final surface. Dust collection is not the best. I have it right beside my 1600cfm collector with 2 hoses, it gets the fine airbourne dust but leaves a lot on the wood and conveyor to fall off on the floor. The main thing this beast could use is some way of determining the set-up height. You have to push your wood in with the machine off and adjust by feel. It has plenty of power, never had it even grunt the least. The sandpaper attachment doesn't keep the paper tight enough for me so I spray the back of the sandpaper with contact adhesive just before rolling it on and then tape the ends with packing tape. I still have 24" of sanding because the rollers are about 25" to 25 1/2" long. I've had the machine for about six months and had no trouble. I find myself running everything through it from boards to gluded panels-(which I bought it for). Leaves edges square too. If your like me and can't justify a wide belt sander, I would recommend this powerful sander, and buy it again.

I just got this pinner and I have to say its amazing! Very solid and well made. Soft no mar tip doesnt fall off. Nice Safty that doesnt need to be modded. Super powerful blowgun will clean any dust off your work. Its very discrete with a little button that is perfectly placed. No lever or latch type blowgun that can break if dropped. Tip is nice and small gets in the tightest of molding profiles. Which is very nice when your trying to hide your pins. Powerful for hardwoods.

The Grip on the handle is very nice as well. The abilty to shoot Headless and slight headed brads is a really nice feature!
I also like that its not popular in my area among all of us pros. Compared to other brands. Mixes it up a bit. As a professional I would highly recommend OMER guns I bought the 18g brad nailer as well.. Just awesome well worth the extra money.
