The Starrett 795XRL series LCD outside micrometer has a digital single-value LCD readout that displays in inch and metric units with resolution to 0.00005” (0.001mm) for outside diameter (OD) measurement, and a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise outside diameter (OD) measurements. The micrometer has an Ingress Protection 67 (IP67) rating, which means that components are resistant to debris and to submersion in liquid under standard conditions for up to 30 minutes.

The micrometer’s electronic microprocessor can preset, hold, or limit measurement at any position, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. An automatic off function helps preserve battery life when the unit is not in use. Depending on the model, it may have Statistical Process Control (SPC) data output to transmit results to a computer or external device through an interface cable (sold separately).The micrometer’s frame has a black wrinkle finish that helps resist rust and reduce glare. A ratchet-stop mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement. The vernier scale on the thimble and sleeve has a satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The spindle and anvil have flat, micro-lapped measuring faces for accuracy and are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. Many people are turned off by the high prices of Starrett tools, and they often settle for a cheaper brand. I was one of those people. When my 'hobby job' went from making a few one-off components to production quantities, I found that the cheaper brands started wearing down or eating batteries. I no longer had the time to keep buying replacements, even for some other so-called coolant-proof micrometers. I decided to see what all the fuss was about and go with Starrett, despite the cost.
These micrometers are far beyond the quality of any other I have used. They make for expensive toys, but if you're making a living from them, they are worth it.

Welders sure have changed over the years and the future is here. This Everlast welder is a MIG/TIG/Stick combination welder. Adding a spool gun gives this 250 amp welder aluminum welding capability.

MIG

This Everlast is a Synergic welder. I can enter in the material type and the welding wire thickness and the welder sets all of the necessary parameters for a good MIG weld. I can also set my own parameters and then save them for future reference which really saves a lot of time to retrieve my favorite settings. This welder has 9 user recordable settings. What I really like the most about this welder is the ability to use a spool gun. The spool gun I purchased from Everlast has the wire feed adjustment on the gun itself. I can make adjustments to the wire feed from over 20 feet away from the actual welder.

TIG

This welder has a full 250A available for TIG welding which removes all obstacles to welding thick, cold steel. I really appreciate the amount of raw power this TIG welder has even on thinner materials. I can push the pedal down to quickly to start a puddle and then throttle down to a good rhythm. The duty cycle for the bad boy is unreal. I purchased a CK flexloc TIG torch from Everlast to compliment the package.

Stick

This Everlast welder features automatic Hot Start which helps with arc initiation. I really appreciate this feature as it significantly reduces electrode sticking when starting a weld. This Everlast welder also features adjustable arc force control. Arc force control allows you to adjust how much or little "dig" you will get with the arc. I can get a nice buttery arc or a hard driving arc depending on the adjustment. This also allows me to control how tight an arc I can keep while ensuring the arc doesn't get snuffed out.

The BrandTech 110V Scientific rotary vane (oil) vacuum pump RZ series has a dual-stage pump, 2 x 10-3 millibar (mbar) ultimate vacuum, a flowrate of 1.6, 4.0, or 6.0 cubic feet per minute (cfm), depending upon model, and a compact body with nitrogen plasma-treated parts. A rotary vane vacuum pump is used in a variety of lab applications with freeze dryers or benchtop centrifugal concentrators, for low-temperature evaporations of high boiling point solvents, molecular distillations, schlenk lines, and other applications where diaphragm pumps cannot provide sufficient vacuum.

This dual-stage pump is used for high boiling point solvents, such as Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). It is lightweight and compact, saving bench or floor space. Its nitrogen plasma-treated parts resist corrosion. Low rotation speeds reduce vibration and noise, and lower the pump temperature. An integrated gas ballast provides water vapor tolerance with low impact on ultimate vacuum. This pump provides continuous flow rates down to the pump’s ultimate vacuum, and performs well when pumping non-aggressive and non-corrosive gases in applications requiring deep vacuum levels.

Pumps evacuate an enclosed area and move a substance from one location to another. Pump choices are guided by the specific application and required substance compatibility. Diaphragm vacuum pumps (also called membrane pumps) are used in industrial and laboratory settings such as chemical analysis labs, water treatment facilities, and oil refineries. Diaphragm pumps expand and contract an interior diaphragm in order to draw a substance into the pump on one stroke and discharge it on the next stroke. The diaphragm forms an oil-free chamber that isolates the medium from the pumping mechanism, making diaphragm pumps a good choice when contamination is a concern. Ultimate vacuum is the deepest level of vacuum a pump can achieve. Flow rate (also called pumping speed) is a measure of the volume and speed at which a substance is drawn into a pump at its inlet. Compared to a similarly rated single-head pump, a pump with multiple pump heads connected in series will have a lower ultimate vacuum, and a pump with multiple pump heads connected in parallel will offer higher flow rates. Installed on a utility sink for a customer who purchased the faucet on my recommendation. The sink was deep which made for a difficult install. Faucet looks nice and has clean lines. Seems to be well built, it does have some plastic parts. The sensor does not work very well, it is very temperamental. The faucet will not turn on sometimes or it will turn on and off rapidly while washing hands. I will be contacting Speakman to see about resolving that issue.
