These are lightweight binocular loupes that provide a clear magnified image in the near field (about 2 feet from the eyes). They work well and are fully adjustable. The optics are plastic but bright. The problem is the field of view is narrow, and for the modest 2.5 magnification, should be about 80% better. One cannot use these for extended periods of time due to eye strain.

I cannot argue that there is anything better on the market, but I am still disappointed. These are very expensive and while they do the job, they are not worth the cost.
