I love my 3M PAPR. Very effective. Fantastic for all kinds of dusty situations and/or organic vapors (with the organic vapor cartridge). Helmet ("bump cap") is comfortable. Works very well with glasses and beard. Fairly quiet. Good for extended periods. I should have bought this years ago for: grinding, painting, varnish, wood work, demolition, fiberglass installation, spraying pottery glazes, etc. There are times when dust collection isn't feasible, and the PAPR is great. Also eye protection, so it is good when working overhead on plaster demolition. Does not fog up, and your glasses don't fog up either.

Two issues: (1) I can't find ear protectors that mount to the bump cap. (2) 3M has discontinued the bump cap as of Feb 2012.

Too bad the battery is NiCad and not Lithium.
