I have had one of these large Boos butcher blocks in my kitchen for about eight years now, and it has been worth every penny. It is fantasticallly solid, like chopping on the Rock of Gilbraltar. I've used it for chopping, cutting, as a giant trivet for hot pans, and nothing has fazed it.
